April 16, 2019 – Danville, Kentucky – Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital (EMFLH) is pleased to recognize and honor one of its nurses for her extraordinary patient care.  Tina Britton, RN, a nurse in the Emergency Department at EMFLH, was one of many nurses nominated for the DAISY Award.  A resident of Boyle County, Tina has been caring for patients at EMFLH for more than four years.

She was nominated by a patient that said, “Tina was incredible.  She is an exemplary model of a caregiver.  She was knowledgeable, friendly, and showed sympathy.  She was compassionate and made me feel at ease and cared for from the beginning of my visit, right down to the moment I was discharged.  I don’t believe I have ever had a hospital stay that was this pleasant.  She is an outstanding example of a caregiver and gives this facility a good name.  I am delighted with my stay and believe if anyone deserves a DAISY, it is her.”

Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day.  Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout EMFLH, Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital and Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
