Ephraim McDowell Walk-in & Primary Care nurse practitioner recognized for extraordinary service

Ephraim McDowell Walk-in & Primary Care is pleased to recognize and honor one of its providers for her extraordinary patient care.  Diana King, A.P.R.N., was one of many nurses nominated for the DAISY Award.  A resident of Lincoln County, Diana has been caring for patients at Ephraim McDowell Walk-in & Primary Care for nearly two years.

She was nominated by a patient.  The patient said, “Diana was very compassionate & caring when I saw her recently.  She was very thorough in her exam, giving her total attention to me and making sure to give me time for any & all questions I had.  She walked me to the Lab herself and assured me that we would get the results back before the end of the day.  She personally called me to share the results of the lab work.  The care and attention she provided made me feel like I was her only patient, and it conveyed to me a sense that she truly cares for each and every patient that she treats.”

Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day.  Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout EMRMC, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital and other Ephraim McDowell facilities.
