Ephraim McDowell Health Announces Fourth Covid-19 Case

Ephraim McDowell Health announces it has received confirmation that a fourth person has tested positive at one of its facilities for the Covid-19 virus.  The individual is a Mercer County resident who is currently quarantined at home.

Ephraim McDowell Health has taken specific steps for the protection of our patients and Associates.  No visitors are allowed at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital or Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital.  There are some exceptions such as passing patients, patient sitters and those who are power of attorney or health care surrogates for a patient.

The Regional Medical Center and Fort Logan Hospital have tightened restrictions for their Labor & Delivery Units.  The support person accompanying a laboring mother to the hospital must now remain in the unit until the mother and baby are discharged, as a further precaution to protect patients.
