Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center (EMRMC) is pleased to recognize and honor one of its nurses for his extraordinary patient care.  Josh Ritzi, a nurse in the OrthoSpineCenter at EMRMC, was one of many nurses nominated for the DAISY Award.  A resident of Shelby County, Josh has been caring for patients at EMRMC for nearly five years.

He was nominated by a patient and a patient’s family member. The patient said, “Simply put, Josh is the best.  In every area Josh shows the greatest attention to detail.  He is always cheerful and always has information for any medical procedure.  Outstanding quality of care.  He has become a true friend.  He is always willing to help anyone out, other nurses, aids, family members of patients and especially patients.”

Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day.  Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital and other Ephraim McDowell facilities.
