Ephraim McDowell Health is excited to announce the opening of Ephraim McDowell Bariatric Center on November 16. The Center is located at 102 Citation Drive in Danville. Bariatric (weight loss) services began just a year ago at Ephraim McDowell. Due to the bariatric program’s success, we are expanding into a dedicated space for this service.
Ephraim McDowell Bariatric Center combines medical weight loss, dietary, fitness, psychology and surgery to assist you with achieving your weight loss goal and return to a healthy, more active lifestyle. Our program is designed to give you the greatest chance of succeeding prior to bariatric surgery and after surgery to ensure you keep the weight off.
Ephraim McDowell Bariatric Center offers several types of bariatric surgery including:
- Gastric Sleeve
- Gastric Bypass
- Lap Band Revision
- Skin revisions following weight loss
The bariatric program is led by Dr. Tin Tran, who has been recognized as one of the outstanding pioneers of laparoscopic and minimally-invasive surgery. He is board-certified in general surgery, fellowship trained in endoscopy and has performed over 1000 bariatric procedures. He is also a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Dr. Tran has helped many patients achieve healthier, more productive lives.
Dr. Tran practices surgery as a member of Central Kentucky Surgeons, PSC and will see bariatric, surgical and endoscopy patients at the new location.
