Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center (EMRMC) is pleased to recognize and honor one of its nurses for her extraordinary patient care.  Nicole Arnold, R.N., a nurse in the Medical/Surgical Unit at EMRMC, was one of many nurses nominated for the DAISY Award.  A resident of Washington County, Nicole has been caring for patients at EMRMC for eight years.

She was nominated by a patient’s family member who said, “Nicole has been a night nurse for my dad for several nights and she has done an exemplary job of doing her professional duties as well as showing compassion for my dad and for my siblings and myself.  She explained changes in medication and other matters related to Daddy’s care with knowledge of the matters about which we had questions, but also with sympathy and kindness.  This hospital’s third floor staff has gone above and beyond our expectations, and Nicole is an excellent example of that.”

Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day.  Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital and other Ephraim McDowell facilities.
