Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital (EMJBHH) is pleased to recognize and honor one of its nurses for her extraordinary patient care.  Wendy Vanderpool, RN, a medical surgical nurse, was one of many nurses nominated for the DAISY Award.  A resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, Wendy has been caring for patients for thirty one years and has been with EMJBHH for the past year as a traveling nurse.

She was nominated for the award by three co-workers who said, “Wendy puts the ‘T’ in Teamwork. She is an excellent nurse with wonderful skills and resources. Wendy is motivated and always goes above and beyond to assist patients and co-workers. No matter how tired she is, you will always see her smiling and laughing. Wendy is a true gem and just an extraordinary nurse and person. It has truly been a pleasure to work with her.”

Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day.  Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital and other Ephraim McDowell facilities.
