Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center nurse recognized as DAISY Nurse Leader

Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center (EMRMC) is pleased to recognize and honor a DAISY Nurse Leader.  Lea Anne Edwards, unit facilitator of the Cardiovascular Unit at EMRMC, was one of many nurse leaders nominated for the DAISY Nurse Leader Award.  She is a resident of Lincoln County and has been caring for patients at EMRMC for 15 years.

Lea Anne was nominated by members of her staff who said that she is always helping her team.  She frequently comes in on her days off to help if there is short staffing issues. They said during the past several years while COVID was impacting the staffing, she has gone above and beyond to help the unit.  She does all of this in addition to her regular job responsibilities.

Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day, as well as the DAISY Nurse Leader Award.  Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital and other Ephraim McDowell facilities.
