Ephraim McDowell Health announces that Tonya Goodin, RN, MSN, MHA has been named Chief Nursing Officer at Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital and Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital. Goodin will begin her new roles on March 27.
Tonya is an executive nurse leader with expertise in all facets of healthcare management and administration with a proven track record of improving patient care, leading successful teams, and reducing unnecessary expenditures. In 2014, she earned a master’s degree in nursing and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Phoenix. She most recently served as Nurse Executive/Vice President of Quality at a nearby hospital.
Tonya is skilled in working cross-functionally at all levels to achieve certifications, enforce regulatory compliance, and identify improvement opportunities. Tonya previously served as the director of Medical/Surgical and Post-Surgical Inpatient Services at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center from 2010 to 2015. Tonya has demonstrated consistent upward career trajectory with multiple promotions and she has a continuous learning mindset resulting in multiple areas of expertise.
