Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital nurse recognized for extraordinary service

Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital (EMJBHH) is pleased to recognize and honor one of its nurses for her extraordinary patient care. Hope Kelly, R.N., in the Emergency Department at EMJBHH, was one of many nurses nominated for the DAISY Award. A resident of Mercer County, Hope has been caring for patients for two years at EMJBHH.

She was nominated for the award by a patient that said, “Hope was an amazing nurse during my night at the ER.  She was very caring towards me as well as other patients in the ER.  Nurses like her are what make a very unpleasant experience more of a comfort.  Her sweet manner, instant connect personality is something that absolutely cannot be taught. She is a natural at her job.”

Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program which honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day.  Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital and other Ephraim McDowell facilities.
