Ephraim McDowell Health is pleased to recognize and honor one of its nurses for her extraordinary patient care at Danville Family Physicians.  Cecily Verhoven, APRN, was one of many nurses nominated for the DAISY Award.  A resident of Boyle County, Cecily has been caring for patients at Ephraim McDowell for 24 years. 

She was nominated by a patient that said, “My daughter was diagnosed with cancer and passed away.  Cecily called us after hours so we could talk. After her passing, Cecily has talked and encouraged me. She really cares about her patients.  She deserves to be honored for her kindness to everyone.  She loves her patients and their families.  She has helped me so much.”

Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day.  Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital and other Ephraim McDowell facilities.
