On October 16th, 2023, Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital was honored as the Business of the Year for the continued opportunities it provides to working women. This award was presented by The Fort Harrod Business and Professional Women’s Club.  

James B. Haggin Hospital was chosen for this award because of the number of women employed and the resources and tools provided to encourage professional growth. There are currently 137 employed at the hospital, 123 of them being women. The facility is an equal opportunity employer and continuously fosters an environment in which all of its associates are encouraged to strive for their goals.
