Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center (EMRMC) is pleased to recognize and honor one of its nurses for her extraordinary patient care.  Jasmine Whitted, R.N., a nurse in the Emergency Department, was one of many nurses nominated for the DAISY Award. A resident of Lincoln County, Jasmine has been caring for patients at EMRMC for one year. 

She was nominated by a patient who said, “I found myself in need of emergency medical attention, and it was during this challenging time that I had the privilege of experiencing Jasmine’s exceptional care. From the moment she greeted me, Jasmine displayed a level of compassion and professionalism that left an indelible mark on my overall experience. Jasmine’s ability to maintain a calm and reassuring demeanor in the midst of a chaotic and stressful environment was truly commendable. She took the time to thoroughly explain each step of the medical process, ensuring I felt informed and comfortable throughout my stay. Her attentiveness and genuine concern for my well-being extended beyond the routine tasks of a nurse, making a significant difference in the overall atmosphere of the care I received. What stood out most about Jasmine was her exceptional ability to connect with patients on a personal level. Despite the hectic nature of the unit, she took the time to listen to my concerns providing both emotional support and reassurance. It was evident that Jasmine views nursing not only as a profession but also as a genuine calling to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need. In addition to her remarkable interpersonal skills, Jasmine demonstrated a high level of competency in executing medical procedures and ensuring that my immediate health needs were met with the utmost proficiency. Her attention to detail, quick thinking, and dedication to delivering the best possible care further underscore her qualifications for the DAISY Award. Jasmine’s exemplary performance as a nurse has undoubtedly contributed to the positive reputation of EMRMC.
