Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital nurse recognized extraordinary service

Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital (EMFLH) is pleased to recognize and honor one of its nurses for her extraordinary patient care.  Aberiel Walton, RN-C, MSN, CLC, charge nurse in the Obstetrics Unit at EMFLH, was one of many nurses nominated for the DAISY Award.  A resident of Garrard County, Aberiel has been caring for patients at EMFLH for 18 years.

She was nominated by a patient who said, “The care, compassion and kindness was absolutely phenomenal. Abe went above and beyond. She is great at her job and her bedside manner was awesome. She explained everything. We felt super safe, and Abe watched over her like a hawk. She even stayed after her shift to help mom and baby. We absolutely loved Abe.”

Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day.  Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital and other Ephraim McDowell facilities.
