Ephraim McDowell Health announces that it has acquired Bluegrass Drug Store. The acquisition became effective October 1, 2024, at which time the location rebranded as Ephraim McDowell Bluegrass Drug Store.

“We are excited to have Bluegrass Drug Store join Ephraim McDowell Health,” said Dan McKay, President & CEO for Ephraim McDowell Health. “Bluegrass Drug Store has a great reputation, and their focus on patient-centered care fits well with our organization’s mission.”

McKay said patients would not see any changes to their current service other than the name change. He noted that the store’s hours will remain the same, as will their phone number and daily operations.

As part of this new endeavor, patients of Ephraim McDowell Health and Bluegrass Drug Store will now have two locations to fill their prescriptions.  Ephraim McDowell Bluegrass Drug Store is located at 150 War Admiral, Suite 1, on the west side of Danville. Ephraim McDowell Health Outpatient Pharmacy is located inside Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
