Ephraim McDowell Health Partners with Lincoln County Schools to Host Free Online Safety and Youth Mental Health Educational Event

Ephraim McDowell Health is proud to partner with Lincoln County Schools to present a free community educational event focused on Online Safety and Youth Mental Health. The event will be held on Thursday, May 22 at 6 p.m. at the Lincoln County High School Auditorium.

This important session is designed for parents, caregivers, and community members who want to better understand how to protect children from the growing threats they face in today’s digital world. From sextortion and online predators to cyberbullying and the mental health impact of social media, the evening will address the real dangers confronting our youth and how adults can take action to support and safeguard them.

“Our children are increasingly exposed to harmful online environments,” said Libby Mayes, Assistant VP of Community Engagement, Ephraim McDowell Health. “We’re seeing firsthand the mental health struggles brought on by social media and online threats. It’s time for us to come together as a community to educate and empower.”

The featured speaker for the evening will be Operation UNITE, a recognized leader in youth prevention and safety. The event will conclude with a Q&A session featuring local experts, giving attendees the chance to ask questions and receive guidance on how to better protect and support their children.
