Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital (EMJBHH) is pleased to recognize and honor one of its nurses for her extraordinary patient care. Heather Holt, B.S.N., R.N., a nurse in the Emergency Department at EMJBHH, was one of many nurses nominated for the DAISY Award. A resident of Boyle County, Heather has been caring for patients for 18 years at EMJBHH.
She was nominated for the award by a patient’s family member who said, “Heather was an angel in disguise when my mother-in-law was admitted to the ER. She went out of her way to make her feel comfortable. She stood by her side and tried to console her and get to the bottom of what was going on. She truly is for this job and an outstanding nurse. She truly cares for her patients and their families. Thank you for everything you did for my mother-in-law. You truly love your job and your patients. Thank you!”
Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day. Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital and other Ephraim McDowell facilities.
