Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center (EMRMC) is pleased to recognize and honor one of its nurses for his extraordinary patient care. Dallas Fenwick, B.S.N., R.N., a nurse on the Intensive Care Unit, was one of many nurses nominated for the DAISY Award. A resident of Washington County, Dallas has been caring for patients at EMRMC for two years.
He was nominated by a coworker who said, “There are certain nurses throughout your career that are able to impact your profession in such positive ways. Dallas is not only extremely knowledgeable in the care he provides to patients, but is exemplary in fostering an environment of compassion, nonjudgmental attitude and safety for those under his care. He goes above and beyond in details such as comfort and bathing. There are too many times I have witnessed him detangling knots in hair or shaving beards. He is always willing to lend a hand to those in need. It is an honor to be able to work alongside him and patients under his care receive the best.”
Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day. Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital and other Ephraim McDowell facilities.
