McDowell Wellness Center is now accepting registrations for the McDowell Marlins Swim Pre-Team. The program will start Tuesday, September 2, 2025, and continue through May 28, 2026.

The McDowell Marlins Swim Pre-Team will teach participants skill development, breathing essentials, structured guidance and instruction while they gain water safety knowledge and swimming experience. Participants will use an indoor, heated, salt water pool and will be taught by certified instructors.

Pre-Team will meet weekly from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday. To participate, children must be between the ages of 4 and 12 and able to swim 25 yards independently. Participants should bring a one-piece swimsuit or trunks (swim jammers) as well as goggles, a towel and fins.

The cost to participate is $80 per month for Wellness Center members and $95 per month for non-members. Additional siblings can receive a 25% discount. For more information, please call (859) 936-9355.
