Ephraim McDowell Health, in partnership with Centenary Methodist Church of Danville, will be offering free health screenings during the church’s upcoming Oil Change event on Saturday, September 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The Centenary Oil Change is a ministry that, with the help of volunteers from Bob Allen Motor Mall, provides a free oil change to individuals in Boyle County who are experiencing economic hardship. The event is first come, first serve, and about 50 cars can be serviced. For questions about the oil change, more information, or volunteer opportunities, please contact the church office at (859) 236-4800.

In addition to the oil change, Ephraim McDowell Health will provide free health screenings to attendees. Health screenings that will be offered include blood pressure, body composition, mental health, cholesterol, A1C and take-home colorectal cancer screening kits (over age 45). These screenings are available at no cost, require no appointment, and do not require insurance. After the screenings are complete, participants will have the opportunity to discuss their results with a licensed health professional. The screenings are open to the public for anyone 18 years of age and older.
For questions about the health screenings, please contact Ephraim McDowell Health at (859) 239-3562.
