Ephraim McDowell Heart & Vascular Institute welcomes Cardiologist, Dr. Ahmed Noor

Ephraim McDowell Heart & Vascular Institute welcomes cardiologist, Ahmed Noor, M.D., to the practice. Dr. Noor will begin on September 8 and is joining Dr. Aslam Ahmad, Dr. Gary Grigsby, Dr. Thomas Goff, Dr. Gbolahan Ogunbayo,  Frank Koroluk, PA-C, and nurse practitioners Megaan Turner, Samantha DeWitt, Stephen Hall, and Jessica Barker.

Dr. Noor earned his medical degree at Windsor University School of Medicine in St. Kitts. He completed a categorical internal medicine residency at the University of Pittsburg Medical Center Mercy. He completed fellowships in advanced cardiac imaging, cardiovascular medicine and in interventional cardiology at the University of Kentucky. 

Dr. Noor is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Cardiovascular Medicine. He has a wide range of experience and expertise in general cardiology, percutaneous management of stable coronary disease and acute coronary syndrome. He has a special interest in coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) guided percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Dr Noor’s research interest is artificial intelligence electrocardiogram (AI ECG) interpretation in ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) workflow. 

Dr. Noor lives in Lexington with his family. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and game nights with family and friends.
