
Ephraim McDowell Behavioral Health welcomes Bryan Hemrick, MA, LPCC-S. Bryan has joined the practice with Dr. Stuart Larson, Samantha Goodlett, PMHNP-BC, Teresa McIlvoy, PMHNP-BC, Kelly Milburn, PMHNP-BC, Andrea Gifford, PMHNP-BC, Victoria Arnold, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, Lee Ann Hunt, LCSW, Jessica Byrd, DSW, LCSW-S, and Bailey Cummins, CSW.
Bryan is a dedicated and experienced licensed professional counselor serving Central Kentucky over the last seven years. Having completed his graduate work at Asbury Theological Seminary, he specializes in evidence-based practice for individuals with mental health disorders and behavioral and chemical addiction. Bryan is passionate about helping his clients identify their inner strengths to promote change while overcoming barriers to personal growth. Having struggled with OCD and depression in his own life he knows first-hand how hard life can be, but he also knows there is hope, and life can get so much better. His unique perspective and experience help clients achieve holistic recovery goals.
Bryan’s philosophy of care is person-centered. He collaborates with each client to set goals for their desired therapy outcome. He believes hope and change occur together when clients can address life’s challenges in a safe space and identify clear steps forward toward healing. He specializes in Motivational Interviewing with Cognitive Behavioral and Narrative Therapy interventions.
Bryan resides in Harrodsburg, with his wife of eight years and two young children who keep him active. When not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his family outdoors and in the kitchen, where he puts his passion for culinary art to work.
