“Derby Day for Mental Health” Coming to Lincoln County

Ephraim McDowell Health, Lincoln County School’s FRYSCs, the Lincoln County Health Department, and the Lincoln County Public Library are coming together to host Derby Day for Mental Health—a fun, family-friendly event focused on promoting mental wellness and connecting the community with valuable local resources.

The event will take place on Saturday, May 2 at Veterans Park in Stanford. Attendees can enjoy a variety of activities for all ages, including kids’ ‘horse races,’ horse decorating, a petting zoo, and music from a live DJ. Free lunch, generously provided by the American Legion, will be available, along with fun treats like a cotton candy machine!
The event schedule includes:

·         10:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Horse decorating

·         11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Free lunch

·         12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Kids’ horse races (for ages 2-11)

Community resource booths will be available throughout the event, providing information, support services, and resources related to mental health and overall well-being.

Come have a fun Derby Day and support mental health in your community!
