Commonwealth Cancer Center of Somerset has joined the Ephraim McDowell Health system and will be called Ephraim McDowell Commonwealth Cancer Center – Somerset.
This transition ensures that the patients in the Somerset area continue to receive the same high-quality, compassionate care they trust and expect, now backed by a comprehensive health system known for providing exceptional care to the communities that it serves.
Ephraim McDowell Commonwealth Cancer Center – Somerset will continue to be led by the dedicated team of Dr. Jennifer C. Torres Yee, M.D. and Natalee Neikirk, APRN, along with their current support staff.

This acquisition builds upon a longstanding partnership. Commonwealth Cancer Center in Danville became part of the Ephraim McDowell Health system in April of 2013 and has since served thousands of patients from central Kentucky. Additionally, the Cancer Center in Danville is Commission on Cancer (COC) Accredited. The Somerset location will now benefit from the same system wide commitment to clinical standards and patient outcomes.
