Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center (EMRMC) is pleased to recognize and honor one of its nurses for her extraordinary patient care. Jen McDonald, a nurse on the 3T Medical Surgical Unit, was one of many nurses nominated for the DAISY Award. A resident of Mercer County, Jen has been caring for patients at EMRMC for two years.
She was nominated by a patient who said, “Very kind and understanding to me. She went above and beyond what a nurse normally does. She was very understanding of my needs and didn’t make me feel bad about asking or needing things. She was really nice to my family when they visited. The nurses were the best around. Jen was so kind and helpful to me.”

Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day. Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital and other Ephraim McDowell facilities.
