Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital (EMFLH) is pleased to recognize and honor one of its nurses for her extraordinary patient care. Tara Messer, a nurse in the Emergency and Acute Care Department, was one of many nominated for the DAISY Award. A Barbourville resident, Tara has cared for patients at EMFLH for three years.
She was nominated by a fellow Associate who said, “…I have been working lately with a nurse who has all the qualities to be placed above most. She has a soul, and a heart for compassion and giving, giving of herself and always going the extra mile… I’ve seen firsthand the healing touch she uses daily with patient care; she always includes the family, and her knowledge to educate is outstanding.”
Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day. Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital, and other Ephraim McDowell facilities. Nominations can also be accepted online at www.emhealth.org/awards/
