Nominate an Extraordinary Nurse
The DAISY Award is a nationwide program that rewards excellence in nursing. It was created by the DAISY Foundation to recognize the clinical skills, extraordinary compassion and care exhibited by nurses every day. The award is given monthly to outstanding nurses in hospitals throughout the world.
The DAISY Foundation was created in 1999 by the family of J. Patrick Barnes, who died at the age of 33 due to complications of an autoimmune disease, Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia Purpura (ITP). DAISY is an acronym for Diseases Attacking the Auto Immunity System.
Patrick received extraordinary care from his nurses, and his family felt compelled to express their profound gratitude for the compassion and skill nurses bring to their patients and families every day. It was their goal to recognize extraordinary nurses everywhere who make a “difference” in the lives of their patients and their patients’ families.
Nominate an Extraordinary Associate
The G.E.M. (Going the Extra Mile) Award was established to recognize associates who are Going the Extra Mile in providing service that is above and beyond expectations.
The G.E.M. Award recipient exemplifies quality service and extraordinary care and helps create a positive experience for our patients and their families.
Any associate is eligible for the G.E.M. Award. Examples include, but are not limited to, patient care techs, therapists, providers, housekeeping, lab, dietary, transporters, imaging technicians, or pharmacy.
