Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, located in Stanford, is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital. The hospital offers a full array of health care services. Those services include surgery, labor and delivery, and diagnostic imaging. In addition, it provides transitional care to span the gap between the hospital and home. Recognized for its emergency care, the hospital is also a Level IV Trauma Center.
This modern hospital, with considerable state-of-the-art technology, serves the citizens of Lincoln County, while patients from surrounding counties also rely on the hospital for their health care needs. Although small, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital maintains the same standards of excellence in care and customer service that patients will find at all Ephraim McDowell Health facilities.
Fort Logan Hospital has served the community since 1963. The hospital moved in April 2008 to its current location at the junction of U.S. 150 and U.S. 27. The new facility provided for an expanded obstetrics unit. In addition, the Emergency Department was expanded and now includes a three-bed trauma room. The hospital has two operating rooms and an expanded Diagnostic Imaging Department that includes magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
One wing of the hospital houses a walk-in and primary care clinic, with walk-in care provided seven days a week. In addition, Ephraim McDowell MedSource has a retail store in the wing. It provides home medical equipment to the community. Also in the wing is Ephraim McDowell Rehabilitation, which provides outpatient physical therapy services.
