August 17, 2018 – Danville, Kentucky – Families looking for a fun activity to do together may want to consider the McDowell Wellness Center Moonlight Mile on Sunday, September 16, 2018.  The one-mile run/walk will start at McDowell Wellness Center, located at 1107 Ben Ali Drive in Danville.  A Kids Sunset Dash will also be offered prior to the Moonlight Mile. 

Event Schedule

6:30 p.m. – Race registration and Get Moving kick-off activities

7:45 p.m. – Kids Sunset Dash (short race)

8:00 p.m. – Moonlight Mile Race

Awards will be given to the first-place overall male and female runners. In addition, awards will be given to the first and second-place female and male runners in each age division.  All kids who complete the Sunset Dash will receive a special prize.

Registration forms for the Moonlight Mile are available at McDowell Wellness Center or on the website at www.mcdowellwellness.com.  The registration fee is $10 for early registration (by September 13) or $12 for late registration.  The registration includes the option of either a t-shirt or a women’s tank top. The Kids Dash is free, but does not include a t-shirt or tank top.  Please register by August 28 to guarantee your shirt size.
