Children and basketball just seem to go hand-in-hand.  That’s evident with the past success of the Dazzling Dribblers program offered by McDowell Wellness Center.

The Dazzling Dribblers program has long been a favorite offering during the winter months in Boyle County.  This year’s program will begin Wednesday, December 13 at the Toliver Elementary School gymnasium and continue each Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

The Dazzling Dribblers program is offered to boys and girls who are in kindergarten through fifth grade.  The program is non-competitive, teaching participants the fundamental skills of basketball and basketball handling skills, along with development of shooting skills at each individual’s own pace. Dazzling Dribblers is committed to an environment of support and boosting self-esteem in each participant and as a team. Team members perform the skills learned during half-time at area high school and college basketball games.

The cost to participate is $45, which includes a basketball, T-shirt and shorts.  Each additional sibling receives a $5 discount in the same family.
