Jennifer Stivers, MD, James Hourigan, MD, and Anne Turcea, MD, join EMH to deliver high-quality, safe, and specialized care for mothers and babies
As part of Ephraim McDowell Health’s (EMH) dedication to best serve the needs of mothers and babies in our community, three board-certified Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN) physicians have been hired, effective March 16, to provide the highest quality care and the safest birthing experience possible to our mothers and babies.
The addition of the three providers is part of EMH’s promise to protect access and ensure there will be no disruption to OB care and services.
Jennifer Stivers, MD, James Hourigan, MD, and Anne Turcea, MD, all previously employed by Women’s Care of the Commonwealth, have been delivering trusted care to mothers and babies at EMRMC and will continue to do so seamlessly as on-staff providers of women’s health care services.
“We are pleased to welcome these three exceptional OB-GYN physicians to Ephraim McDowell Health,” said Daniel McKay, President and CEO. “Their decision to join our medical group reaffirms Ephraim’s commitment to delivering high-quality, dependable, community-based women’s healthcare close to home. Expectant mothers will continue to receive experienced, compassionate care with the continued assurance of delivering at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, supported by neonatologists and the full capabilities of our Level II NICU. As healthcare continues to evolve, our focus remains clear — advancing high-quality, coordinated care that strengthens the health of the communities we serve across the region.”
Patients who are established and have appointments with these providers should now call (859) 239-6590.
The on-site specialist physician coverage will also serve to provide a seamless transition for expectant mothers who had planned to deliver at Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital’s OB unit.
