Ephraim McDowell Health welcomes Dr. Ryan Carbaugh, Gastroenterologist, to the Medical Staff.  Dr. Carbaugh will practice with Dr. Edgar Salas and Amanda Murphy, A.P.R.N. at Ephraim McDowell Gastroenterology located in the Ephraim McDowell Specialty Center in Danville.

Dr. Carbaugh earned his bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences from Pennsylvania State University and his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine at Seton Hill in Greensburg, PA.  He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at University Hospitals Parma Medical Center in Parma, OH and his fellowship in gastroenterology at Millcreek Community Hospital in Erie, PA.

Dr. Carbaugh is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.  He is eligible and sitting for the American Board of Internal Medicine Gastroenterology Certification this fall.   He has interests in general gastroenterology, hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease, motility disorders and small bowel endoscopy.

Dr. Carbaugh was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA.  He and his wife are excited to live in Danville with their three children and soon to be four.  In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities, hobby farming, travel and spending time with family.
