Ephraim McDowell Health welcomes R. Cameron Henzman, M.D., Interventional Radiologist, to the Medical Staff.  Dr. Henzman will begin on August 15 and his office is located in the Ephraim McDowell Specialty Center at 216 West Walnut Street in Danville.

Dr. Henzman earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Physics from Centre College, a master’s degree in Medical Science from the University of Kentucky and his medical degree from the University of Louisville.  He completed a General Surgery internship at the University of Mississippi, a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Louisville and an independent residency in Interventional Radiology at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Henzman is a board-eligible Interventional and Diagnostic Radiologist. His practice includes diagnosing and treating disease using medical imaging and minimally invasive techniques. Treatable diseases span nearly all specialties of medicine in the inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings.  In addition to helping treat gastrointestinal, genitourinary, musculoskeletal and respiratory system diseases, focus is placed on peripheral vascular disease, interventional oncology, prostate and uterine health and pain management.

Patients undergoing Interventional Radiology procedures can have their disease or injury treated through small incisions, often under sedation.  Through this access, Dr. Henzman uses X-ray, CT or Ultrasound to guide advancing instruments such as wires, needles and catheters to the area of concern to diagnose or treat. 

Dr. Henzman is new inally from Lexington, KY and now lives in Danville with his wife, Dr. Sarah (Hall) Henzman.  The recently married couple are expecting their first child later this year.  Outside of work Drs. Cameron and Sarah Henzman enjoy an active lifestyle of traveling, boating, snow skiing, scuba diving, home projects, exercising, attending sporting events and time with family and friends.
