Lucas Edelen, M.D. is joining the staff at Danville Family Physicians on August 1. He will be providing primary care to patients of all ages.

Dr. Edelen is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry with a minor in biological sciences from Northern Kentucky University and his doctorate in medicine from the University of Louisville. He completed his residency in family and community medicine at the University of Kentucky, during which he served as a chief resident. He has a special interest in the management of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and lung disease.

Dr. Edelen lives in Lancaster with his wife, Meagan, and their three dogs.  Dr. Edelen was born and raised in Danville and is a Boyle County High School graduate.  It has always been his goal to return to Danville to practice medicine and he is excited to start his career at Danville Family Physicians.  In his free time, he enjoys golfing, cooking, and spending time with his family.
