Messer Construction Co. has presented the Ephraim McDowell Health Care Foundation with a $6,000 donation that will be used to improve patients’ access to health care.
“Messer has been a proud supporter of the Ephraim McDowell Health Care Foundation for more than 17 years because it aligns with our purpose of building better lives for our customers, communities and each other,” said Mark Hill, Vice President of Messer.
Messer Operations Vice President Jason Wright added, “It’s very rewarding to have a meaningful impact on the cities where we live and work – not only through the projects we build but also by supporting an organization like the Ephraim McDowell Health Care Foundation that reinvests in the health of our fellow community members.”
“We are deeply grateful for Messer’s continued support of the Ephraim McDowell Health Care Foundation,” said Laura Richard, the Foundation’s executive director. “Their generosity helps us make a lasting impact in the communities we serve, enhancing access to vital healthcare services and improving lives.”
A $120 million renovation and expansion project is currently under way on the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center campus. The three-year project will expand the emergency department as well as create a three-story critical care tower that will allow for expansion of the cardiac cath and interventional radiology lab spaces. It also will bring the emergency transportation helipad to the hospital campus.
