Did you know that in Kentucky, one person dies by suicide every 12 hours? This statistic highlights the urgent need for action in our communities. We can all make a difference. The QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Gatekeeper Training is a life-saving opportunity designed to help individuals recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and take the necessary steps to intervene. Just like CPR, QPR training prepares people to save lives.
Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital (Stanford) will host a QPR Gatekeeper Training session on May 1 from 2 p.m. to 3 pm. Another training will be offered at the Central Kentucky Surgery Center (Danville) on May 15 with two time options of 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
This training is open to the community and completely free of charge. Seats are limited, so we encourage interested participants to call (859) 239-3558 to reserve their spot today.
Together, we can make a difference in Kentucky’s fight against suicide. Be part of the solution – sign up for QPR Gatekeeper Training and help save lives.
