Ephraim McDowell Gastroenterology welcomes Hillary Sowder, APRN, FNP-C. She will join the practice on April 20 with Dr. Edgar Salas, Dr. Ryan Carbaugh, Dr. Fred Closson, Colyn Wright, PA-C, Amanda Murphy, APRN, and Jennifer Griffin, APRN.

Hillary is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) by the Kentucky Board of Nursing. She received her associates degree in nursing from Campbellsville University and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Eastern Kentucky University. She then obtained her master’s degree from Chamberlain University. Hillary has experience in acute care and has a special interest in outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology.

Hillary lives in Danville with her husband, Chris, and their two children, Lennox and Hensley.  During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and their two dogs.
