Ephraim McDowell Health continues to work closely with national, state and local leaders to ensure that we are properly responding to the needs of our patients and Associates as it relates to Covid-19. We are continually looking for new ways to treat and keep our patients healthy. Ephraim McDowell Health is now offering telehealth visits at many of our specialty and primary care offices.
Telehealth is a virtual visit that is made possible through a telephone, computer, tablet or smart phone. These visits allow patients to stay at home and receive much of the medical attention that they could receive through a face-to-face visit. Patients can use telehealth for follow-up visits, Medicare Wellness visits, refills, follow-up test results and new patient visits. The software used is HIPPA compliant, ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality.
Ephraim McDowell Health is offering telehealth services at many of its specialty and primary care clinics. Patients are asked to call their provider’s office if they want to schedule a telehealth visit. The office can advise if telehealth services are available at that office or direct them to a location within the Ephraim McDowell Health system where the service is available.
