Farmers National Bank and WealthSouth Present Annual Gift to Ephraim McDowell Health Care Foundation

The Ephraim McDowell Health Care Foundation (EMHCF) is proud to announce it has received a $30,000 gift from Farmers National Bank and WealthSouth. The contribution represents their continued support of the Foundation and will benefit the Ephraim McDowell Health Care Foundation’s Good Works Fund, which helps advance critical health care initiatives across the Ephraim McDowell Health system.

“We are proud to partner with the Ephraim McDowell Health Care Foundation to support the important work being done for patients and families across our region,” said Sam Pollom, Senior Vice President and Market Director for WealthSouth. “Investing in local health care strengthens our communities and helps ensure individuals have access to the care they need close to home.”

Farmers National Bank and WealthSouth are recognized as Premier Sponsors of the Foundation, providing leadership support for many of the Foundation’s signature events and initiatives, including Tiptoes & Tuxedos, the Foundation Golf Scramble, and Luminosity. Their partnership reflects a shared commitment to improving health outcomes throughout Central Kentucky. Farmers National Bank has donated $493,600 in lifetime giving to the Foundation.

“We are incredibly grateful for the generosity and continued partnership of Farmers National Bank and WealthSouth,” said Brandie James, Philanthropy Coordinator for the EMHCF. “Support like this allows the Foundation to advance programs and initiatives that directly impact the health and well-being of the communities we serve.”

Chris Davis, Chair of the EMHCF Board, emphasized the importance of community partnerships in sustaining the Foundation’s mission.

“Strong partnerships with organizations like Farmers National Bank and WealthSouth help make our work possible,” Davis said. “Their commitment enables the Foundation to support innovative programs, equipment, and services that strengthen patient care across our health system.”

Through philanthropic support, the EMHCF helps fund initiatives that enhance patient care across the health system. Contributions have supported advanced medical equipment for Ephraim McDowell hospitals, specialized programming for children with special needs through Ephraim McDowell Kids Can Do Pediatric Center, behavioral health initiatives, and programs that provide medications and durable medical equipment to patients who otherwise could not afford them.
