Ephraim McDowell Gastroenterology welcomes Colyn Wright, PA-C. She will join the practice on January 4 with Dr. Edgar Salas, Dr. Ryan Carbaugh, Dr. Fred Closson, and Amanda Murphy, APRN.
Colyn attended the University of Kentucky and earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition, with a minor in Biology. She then went on to earn her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Kentucky after a year of travel as an international leadership consultant. Colyn is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She has a deep-rooted passion for patient care in many capacities. She appreciates both acute and chronic disease management, with particular interest in internal medicine and emergency medicine. Colyn discovered her interest in medicine as a pediatric patient in a gastroenterology clinic, so it is especially meaningful to begin her career in gastroenterology.
Colyn and her husband, Skyler, live in Lincoln County where they are renovating a home together. In her free time, she loves sitting around a bonfire, snuggling up with a good book and cup of coffee, going for a long walk with her dog, and spending time with family.
Ephraim McDowell Gastroenterology is located inside the Ephraim McDowell Specialty Center at 216 West Walnut Street, Suite #4 in Danville. To schedule an appointment, please call (859) 936-9357.
