It’s important to choose the right physician for your lung issues. We have two pulmonologists who are supported by two advanced practice providers. Our pulmonologists perform highly-skilled procedures that can detect lung cancer before it advances. This includes advanced genomic testing of indeterminate lung nodules found by CT scans. It also includes Electromagnetic Navigation Bronchoscopy to remove a portion of a tumor from inside the lung.
Because of these advanced procedures, patients can stay close to home for the quality care they need. In addition, patients benefit when their lung issue is detected early. Because of that early detection, more treatment options are available to them. Thus, patient outcomes improve, and lives are saved.
We treat common conditions including asthma, bronchitis, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), emphysema, pulmonary infections, pneumonia, pulmonary embolism, pulmonary hypertension, tuberculosis, and pulmonary sarcoidosis.
Lung Cancer Screening
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death in the United States. Most lung cancer cases are caused by smoking. This region of Kentucky leads the nation in the incidence of lung cancer. As a result, we want to diagnose lung cancer early so it can be treated. One tool that helps us is a low-dose CT scan of the chest. Pulmonology Services Offered
The services we offer include diagnostic testing, such as routine pulmonary function testing. This test helps to determine the type and severity of a lung issue. As a result, our providers can pursue the best treatment option for our patients. We also offer a Pulmonary Rehabilitation program that provides a medically-supervised treatment plan for individuals with chronic lung disease.
